Visit to Gretna Green
Our first stop is the romantic and historic village of Gretna Green.

At Gretna Green's Famous Blacksmiths Shop, discover over 260 years of tradition, where generations of eloping couples pledged their vows over the Blacksmith's anvil. Today, the site is a charming visitor attraction featuring heritage exhibits, boutique shopping, and inviting restaurants-although you may want to resist the temptation to tie the knot yourself!
Malt Whisky Tasting Experience
Immerse yourself in Scotland's whisky heritage with a guided tasting. Learn how Scotch whisky is crafted, uncover the characteristics of its distinct regions, and enjoy sampling two malt whiskies and a Scottish liqueur.

DAY 02:
Glasgow - Falkirk Wheel - The Kelpies - Edinburgh - Glasgow
Depart for Edinburgh
After breakfast, we begin our journey toward Scotland's historic capital, Edinburgh, with exciting stops along the way.
The Falkirk Wheel
Our first experience of the day is the Falkirk Wheel-the world's only rotating boat lift and a remarkable feat of modern engineering. This unique structure links the Forth & Clyde Canal with the Union Canal through a graceful half-turn rotation that takes just five minutes, offering a fascinating blend of innovation and design.
The Kelpies at Helix Park
Next, we visit Helix Park, home to The Kelpies-the world's largest equine sculptures. Standing 100 feet tall and weighing over 300 tonnes each, these shimmering steel giants pay tribute to Scotland's powerful working horses that once ploughed fields and pulled barges along the nation's waterways.
Arrival in Edinburgh & Orientation Tour
We then make our way to the magnificent capital city of Edinburgh. Upon arrival, we head to our selected restaurant for lunch before beginning an orientation tour featuring key highlights such as:

" Additional notable landmarks showcasing the city's rich heritage
After the tour, stroll along the historic Royal Mile to admire St Giles' Cathedral, celebrated for its striking crown-shaped spire and centuries of history.

Nevis Range & Cable Car Ride
We continue along the picturesque route towards Fort William to visit the Nevis Range. Upon arrival, enjoy a cable car ride to the summit, rising 1,345 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles. This ancient giant was once a massive active volcano, which erupted and collapsed millions of years ago-truly the pinnacle of Scotland!
Commando Memorial
Next, we make a photo stop at the Commando Memorial, a Category A listed structure standing 17 ft (5.2 m) high. This striking bronze sculpture depicts three World War II commandos in full uniform, including cap comforters, ammunition pouches, and weapons. The monument honors the officers and men of the commandos who gave their lives between 1939-1945.
Glenfinnan Viaduct & Memorial
Later, we head to the Glenfinnan Visitor Centre for a photo stop at the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct and Glenfinnan Monument. The viaduct, built between 1897-1901, is part of the West Highland Line in Inverness-shire and overlooks Loch Shiel. It has appeared in several films, most famously in four of the Harry Potter movies. The Glenfinnan Monument, erected in 1815, commemorates the Jacobite clansmen who fought for Prince Charles Edward Stuart. Standing 18 meters high, it features a lone kilted highlander at the top, a poignant tribute to the fallen clansmen.
Neptune's Staircase
Our final stop of the day is Neptune's Staircase, a remarkable staircase lock on the Caledonian Canal. Originally hand-powered, it now operates hydraulically, comprising eight locks that raise and lower boats along this historic waterway.

The extra bed provided will be either a sofa bed or rollaway bed. These extra beds may not be full sized as double beds and are usually suitable for one individual only. The cost of the package is based on a minimum of two adults sharing one room. If your group consists of one adult and one child, the child must pay a full adult fare to make up the cost for the room required. Baby cots are not guaranteed. When you opt for two rooms, each room must have an adult accompanying a child as per regulations of the hotel. A child will always have to be accompanied by an adult in a room. Any indication is for reference only and is subject to change regardless of whether given in writing or any other means. Seat numbers will be informed to all passengers on the day of departure. In case of theft, you will need to advise your Tour Manager immediately and report the theft to the nearest police personnel who will provide you with a police report or crime reference number. You are advised not to carry unnecessary valuables and to be always vigilant, as tourist spots are well known targets for pickpockets. Mantra Holidays recommends all passengers to have valid travel insurance, including EU citizens.
Some journeys can be long, and they are unavoidable when travelling from one city to another. Hence, Mantra Holidays recommend on such long journey days to wear comfortable clothes. As most part of these days will be spent inside the coach, we advise passengers to carry all necessities that they may need for the day such as water, dry snacks, tissues, medication, chagers, powerbanks etc. with them in their hand luggage.
Due to many visitors, there may be waiting times and queuing times involved, which can be anything up to 4 hours. These times may be modified without notice by the management due to exceptional events, unfavourable weather conditions, large numbers of visitors, or a Force Majeure event. Access to the excursions/monuments depends on the type of ticket purchased, and all exits are final no re-entries are permitted. Tickets issued are for immediate entry. In the case of loss or theft, the tickets cannot be reimbursed. Certain excursions may restrict access due to saturation.
The tour manager reserves the right to modify the itinerary during the tour. These changes may occur due to unexpected delays, major local events that can often arise or a Force Majeure event. Time keeping is the most important aspect of a group tour and all passengers must adhere to the timings given by their tour manager. All our holiday packages are subject to governance by DVSA for driving hours hence it is the passenger's responsibility to ensure all departure times are respected. Mantra Holidays will not take responsibility for passengers left behind due to not adhering to itineraries and times stated by the tour manager for whatsoever reason, and any subsequent impact this may cause financially or non-financially. It is a passenger's responsibility to ensure that they are clear in understanding of the departure time from any given point. If in any doubt, please make sure that you recheck the departure timings again with your tour manager and follow the same.
